Community Eye
Safer streets are essential for Newark to transform from “good” to “great.” So our Newark Community Foundation is leveraging technology that will allow police to be in more places than physically and economically possible.
The Community Eye is an advanced camera and gunshot detection system that will cover seven square miles of Newark’s most challenged neighborhoods. A multiplied police force will create a halo of safety so that better living and better business can take lasting hold.
The Community Foundation shares in the idea of a “great” Newark and provides the common platform families, businesses and foundations need to participate in this 21st century renaissance. We’re starting with safety for a better today and the best tomorrow. Join us in a shared response.
