Free Haitian Pediatric Hospital Treats Thousands of Injured Children

We have become aware of an opportunity for funding a group that is doing very special work in Haiti. The Rev. Dr. Rick Frechette is the founder, director, doctor and priest for St. Damien’s Hospital, the only free pediatric hospital in Haiti. Father Rick built the hospital and has been living in Haiti for many years, so he already has a strong presence on the island.

The continuing mission of St. Damien’s and Father Rick is to not only cure diseases and broken bones, but to provide a measure of hope for so many who have so little. Thousands of children who were injured in the earthquake are now being treated at the hospital. Funds are urgently needed for medical supplies, tents and cots.

Please read more about Father Rick and his supporting organization, the Passionists, by going to www.thepassionists.org.

Also watch the ABC News story about Father Rick, “Haiti’s Smallest Victims.”

All donations to St. Damien’s Hospital would be sent to Father Rick in care of the Passionist Missionaries, Inc., which is located in Union City, NJ.
