Community Foundation of New Jersey

There are over 25,000 nonprofit organizations throughout New Jersey. To help us learn more about them, nonprofits serving General New Jersey can submit a short Letter of Inquiry.

Please note:

• There is a good chance that funding will not be available, but this process helps inform us about your organization and its work.
• General New Jersey funds relate to projects that are not focused in one specific county, as the intended work is done throughout the state with regional, multi-city or statewide impact.

Letter of Inquiry

A Letter of Inquiry should be short, 1–2 pages, and include information such as:

• The nature and purpose of the project that needs funding
• A brief history of the supporting organization
• The amount and the financial explanation for the project
• The name and coverage of any other possible competitive nonprofits, if applicable
